Life-Size Contemporary Rotund Dancer Bronze Sculpture by Giant Sculptures, full-figured ballerina in tutu balancing on one heel with arms outstretched, on a square plinth.
Life-Size Contemporary Rotund Dancer Bronze Sculpture - 220cm $36,78800
Description

The Life-Size Contemporary Rotund Dancer Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 220cm, commanding immediate attention with its exuberant, full-figured female form caught mid-balance on a single heel, arms flung wide in a gesture of total abandon. The figure wears a sculpted bronze tutu, a button-detailed bodice, and delicate heeled shoes, every detail cast with the precision and confidence of a work designed to anchor a space rather than merely inhabit it.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished in Deep Black Patina

This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, ensuring every contour of the voluminous form, from the sweep of the raised leg to the fine pleats of the tutu, is faithfully reproduced in solid bronze. The surface carries a deep black patina with subtle reflective highlights that catch the light and give the figure a cinematic depth, shifting in character as viewing angles change. The square block plinth, finished in the same dark bronze tone, grounds the composition and amplifies the theatrical quality of the pose.

At 220cm tall and 350kg, this is a piece built for significant spaces. It suits polished concrete lobbies, grand entrance halls, hotel atriums, and expansive private gardens equally well. The dark patina pairs naturally with warm neutrals, aged stone, and architectural steel. Against pale marble or white render, the contrast is particularly striking. Fully rated for outdoor installation, this sculpture is as composed in an open courtyard as it is beneath a vaulted ceiling.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Alternative patina finishes are available, including warm natural bronze, verdigris, and gold-tone lacquer. Scale adjustments and fully bespoke commissions are welcomed; if you are considering a site-specific installation inspired by the work of Fernando Botero, our studio team can discuss proportion and placement in detail before production begins. Contact us before ordering to confirm your requirements.
