Four bronze musicians locked in performance, each figure rendered at life-size scale across 120 centimetres of animated composition. A seated banjo player anchors the left of the group while a trombone player, an open-mouthed singer, and a clarinet player fill the arc to the right, every pose caught mid-phrase as though the music is still sounding. The warm mid-tone brown patina deepens in recessed folds of clothing and lifts on knuckles, bell curves, and cheekbones, giving the surface a tactile, hand-worked quality entirely appropriate to the subject.
This piece is a companion sculpture designed to pair with our Life-Size Jazz Band Musician Figures Bronze Sculpture - 200cm, sold separately.
Each figure is cast using the traditional lost-wax process, allowing the sculptor's original surface detail to transfer faithfully into bronze. Facial expressions, instrument valves, and the grain of clothing are captured at the wax stage before metal locks them permanently. After casting, skilled finishers apply a layered chemical patina by hand, building warmth and tonal variation that no spray or dip process can replicate.
The ensemble suits a grand interior entrance hall, hotel atrium, performing arts lobby, or covered courtyard. At 250 kilograms the group requires a prepared structural base; the low individual plinths beneath each figure keep sight lines clean and allow the composition to read as a coherent band rather than isolated statues.
Patina options range from the classic warm brown shown here through verde antique, dark ebony, and polished golden highlights. Scale adjustments and entirely original band compositions can be discussed as bespoke commissions. Contact us before ordering to confirm site dimensions and any customisation requirements.
