Life-Size Classical Virgin Mary Bronze Statue by Giant Sculptures in a gold finish, arms open in welcome on a hexagonal inscribed plinth, plain grey background.
Life-Size Classical Virgin Mary Bronze Statue - 250cm $41,42800
Description

The Life-Size Classical Virgin Mary Bronze Statue stands at a commanding 250cm, presenting a figure of serene authority: arms extended gently outward, palms open in a welcoming gesture, head inclined in quiet reverence, robes and veil falling in deep, precisely rendered folds. Beneath her feet, a globe and coiled serpent are cast into the composition, while the hexagonal stepped plinth bears the inscription Glaube, Liebe, Hoffnung (Faith, Love, Hope) across its front face.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished in Gold

This sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, a process that captures every nuance of the modelled surface, from the layered drape of the veil to the articulation of each finger. The piece carries a bright gold-finished bronze surface with high reflectivity and minimal patination, giving it a luminous, ceremonial presence that reads powerfully across both intimate and monumental spaces. At 600kg, the casting weight reflects the integrity and density of the bronze throughout.

The scale and finish make this sculpture equally suited to grand ecclesiastical interiors, private chapel settings, formal entrance halls, and open-air courtyards or gardens. The gold tone harmonises with stone, marble, and pale masonry, and holds its character in both natural and architectural lighting conditions. As a life-size bronze figure of this specification, it functions as a permanent focal point rather than an accent piece.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options are available beyond the bright gold finish shown, including traditional mid-brown, verde antique, and dark statuary bronze. The plinth inscription can be customised with alternative text or language to order. Scale variants are also possible for settings requiring a larger or smaller presence. If you would like to discuss a modification, contact us before placing your order so we can confirm the specification and timeline in advance.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
