Large Traditional Seated Buddha Bronze Sculpture - 180cm $28,37700
Description

The Large Traditional Seated Buddha Bronze Sculpture stands 180cm tall, presenting a commanding meditation figure on an elaborate double-tiered lotus throne, rendered in a radiant gold finish with hand-painted facial details of striking precision.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished in Gold

Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this large bronze Buddha statue is hand-finished to achieve a mirror-like gold patina across every surface of the robes, throne, and body. The figure is seated in vajrasana, the right hand extended in bhumisparsha mudra (the earth-touching gesture), the left resting in the lap holding a ceremonial bowl. Painted details are applied by hand: red lips, a red urna mark at the brow centre, outlined eyes, and a blue-painted ushnisha at the crown. The robe borders carry deep relief patterning across the shoulders and wrists, and the double-lotus throne rises in two sculptural tiers, each petal form individually modelled and polished. At 120kg, the piece has the physical authority its scale demands.

This large gold Buddha sculpture is suited to grand interiors: entrance halls with high ceilings, meditation or contemplative spaces, gallery-style living rooms, and institutional or hospitality settings. The all-over gold finish reads warmly against dark timbers, natural stone, and deep saturated wall colours. Given its weight and reflective surface character, a level, load-appropriate floor and controlled interior lighting will show the piece to best effect.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

The gold finish shown is our standard specification, but we can apply a range of patinas including traditional brown-black bronze, verde antique, or a two-tone treatment that retains gold on the figure while darkening the throne. Scale adjustments are available, and we can accommodate bespoke commissions inspired by the work of traditional Tibetan and Southeast Asian Buddhist sculptural traditions. Contact us before ordering to discuss any customisation requirements.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
