The Large Traditional Chinese Temple Bell Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 160cm, commanding immediate attention with its layered ornamental programme: yin-yang medallion bands, low-relief dragon panels, lotus collar, wave friezes, and a lotus bud crown finial that draws the eye upward from the scalloped flared base to the apex.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax process, this bell carries a warm dark brown bronze patina with reddish-copper tones emerging on every raised surface: the boss rows, the dragon relief panels, and the key-fret meander band. Each decorative register is modelled with precision before casting, so the resulting surface holds sharp definition across the yin-yang medallions and the wave frieze above the dragon band. At 500kg, the weight alone confirms the density of the pour. This is a monumental cast bronze object built to endure outdoors and indoors alike, with no structural concession to scale.
Its proportions and formal symmetry make it equally suited to grand entrance halls, hotel lobbies, corporate atriums, and open garden courtyards. The warm brown patina settles naturally against stone, polished concrete, dark timber, and clipped formal planting. In an interior context, it reads well against pale walls with high ceilings, where the scale is given room to register without compression.
Patina options include natural verdigris, aged black, polished warm gold, and a range of antiqued brown tones. The bell can be scaled up or down for specific architectural contexts, and bespoke commissions can incorporate personalised medallion inscriptions or modified decorative registers inspired by particular regional traditions. Contact us before ordering to discuss scale, finish, or any commission brief.
