The Large Traditional Bronze Bell Sculpture stands at 90cm and presents a commanding, weighty presence rooted in centuries of foundry tradition. Suspended within an integrated four-legged A-frame stand, the bell hangs mouth-downward in a stationary, upright composition that is both architecturally resolved and visually arresting.
Cast using the time-honoured lost-wax method, this piece is produced in solid cast bronze, delivering the density and resonance that defines the material at its finest. The bell body carries horizontal ribbed banding around the upper register and bears embossed inscription detail referencing a U.S. Lighthouse establishment of 1891, lending the piece a specific and convincing sense of provenance. The surface finish is a deep grey-brown on the bell body, transitioning to heavy green verdigris across the upper surfaces and frame, the result of controlled patination that gives the piece its aged bronze character. At 400kg, the physical presence is considerable; this is a sculpture that occupies a space rather than simply filling it.
The integrated metal A-frame stand means the piece arrives as a complete installation, requiring no additional mounting or base work. It suits heritage interiors, civic or institutional forecourts, large garden terraces, stone-paved courtyards, and entrance halls with appropriate ceiling height. The verdigris tones read well against limestone, weathered brick, pale render, and dark timber. Given its scale and weight, it is equally at home outdoors year-round or as a centrepiece in a grand interior setting.
We offer a range of patina finishes including natural aged verdigris as shown, dark brown antiqued, satin mid-tone, and light golden bronze. The inscription panel can be customised to commemorate a date, institution, or dedication of your choice. For scale queries or bespoke commission enquiries, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the specification in full.
