The Large Classical Blacksmith Figure Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 250cm, depicting a muscular male figure mid-strike, hammer raised overhead and rod held firm at his side, his powerful torso twisting from a rough, organic rocky base that seems to grow directly from the earth beneath him.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax process, this large bronze figure sculpture carries all the hallmarks of serious foundry craft: precise surface detail, dense weight, and a finish that ages with character. The warm rich brown patina deepens in the recessed contours of the musculature, drawing the eye across every flexed sinew and deliberate tension point in the pose. Curling hair, expressive features, and the naturalistic rocky plinth base are all rendered with the kind of fidelity that reproduces equally well under gallery lighting and open sky.
At 250cm and 320kg, this is a piece scaled for significant architectural settings. It commands open plazas, corporate courtyards, civic landscapes, and large entrance halls with equal authority. The warm bronze tones read well against stone, concrete, weathered brick, and polished marble alike. Placement suitability covers both interior and exterior environments; the dense cast bronze resists weathering and requires only occasional wax treatment outdoors to maintain the patina.
Patina options include classic warm brown, aged verdigris, dark oxidised black, and polished natural bronze. The sculpture can be produced at alternate heights to suit specific site requirements, and the integrated base form can be adapted for different plinth configurations. If you are considering a commission inspired by the work of John De Andrea or other figurative realist sculptors, or need a site-specific scale match, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the specification and timeline with you directly.
