The Classical Lion Head Wall Fountain stands 110cm tall and commands attention as a fully integrated water feature in cast bronze. A powerful lion head is rendered in deep relief, mouth open as a live water spout, flanked by decorative scroll volutes and anchored at the base by sculpted paw details; the water falls cleanly into a ribbed shell-shaped basin below.
This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax process, which captures every textural nuance of the composition: the mane's layered ridges, the shell basin's ribbed geometry, and the carved rustication of the arched backing panel. The surface carries a warm antique bronze patina with darker tones pooling in recessed areas, reinforcing the depth of the relief work. The result is a piece that reads as both architectural and sculptural, with the tonal contrast of hand-finished cast bronze lending it a presence that weathers beautifully in open air.
Designed for installation against a solid exterior wall, this fountain suits stone-clad courtyards, formal walled gardens, grand terraces, and heritage-style outdoor settings. The neutral bronze and stone palette integrates with dressed limestone, aged brick, render, and dark slate. Integrated fountain plumbing is built into the composition; a recirculating pump setup is required for installation.
The antique warm brown patina shown is our standard finish for this model. Alternative patina options include verdigris green, dark statuary black, and natural unsealed bronze for a living finish. The overall scale can be adjusted for larger architectural settings. For site-specific sizing or a bespoke commission inspired by the work of classical architectural sculptors, contact us before ordering and our studio team will advise.
