The Classical Bird Bath and Swan Fountain stands at an impressive 220cm, presenting three stacked tiers of cast bronze rising from a wide circular pool. Small perching birds crown the upper and middle rims, swan figures occupy the broad lower basin, and a single finial bird sits at the apex, creating a composition that reads with quiet authority from every angle.
Each tier is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, preserving the fine surface detail of the ribbed melon-form baluster columns, the acanthus leaf relief at the column base, and the individually modelled bird and swan figures. The finish is a warm dark brown patina with reddish-bronze highlights: the natural result of controlled oxidisation and hand-applied wax sealant. This solid bronze garden fountain weighs 550kg, a mass that speaks directly to the quality of material used throughout.
Designed for outdoor installation, this fountain is equally at home as the centrepiece of a formal walled garden, a grand hotel courtyard, or a landscaped estate terrace. The classical proportions suit heritage stone, pale limestone paving, and clipped hedgerow settings. The circular stone pool surround shown is a typical installation format; your landscape architect or stone mason can specify a pool to your exact site dimensions.
Patina options include traditional dark brown, verde antique green, and warm golden bronze. The height and tier proportions can be adjusted for smaller courtyard settings or larger monumental installations. If you would like a commission inspired by a specific classical garden fountain tradition, please contact us before ordering so we can scope the brief accurately.
