The Traditional Battle Cross Memorial Bronze Sculpture stands 120cm tall and presents the iconic fallen soldier arrangement with sombre precision: combat boots planted at the base, a rifle rising vertically between them, dog tags suspended from the barrel, and a combat helmet resting at the apex. It is a composition rooted in battlefield tradition, rendered here in cast bronze with the weight and permanence the subject demands.
Cast using the lost-wax method, every element of this piece carries the fine surface detail that only hand-finishing can deliver. The laced boot uppers, treaded soles, rifle hardware, and helmet shell are all resolved with exceptional clarity. The antique bronze patina sits in warm mid-brown tones across raised surfaces, deepening to darker recessed areas that give the composition definition and shadow. This is handcrafted memorial bronze at a scale that commands attention without overwhelming its setting.
At 120cm and 180kg, this sculpture has the physical presence to anchor a formal garden, a regimental entrance hall, a war memorial garden, or an institutional interior. The pale stone plinth provides a clean, neutral base that suits both clipped formal landscapes and understated contemporary interiors. The antique patina reads equally well against weathered stone, dark timber, and rendered masonry, and the piece carries dual suitability for indoor and outdoor placement.
Patina options include classic antique brown, dark aged bronze, and natural verde green. The sculpture can be scaled to suit specific installation requirements, from compact commemorative pieces to monumental installations. For commissions inspired by specific memorial traditions or regimental insignia, contact us before ordering to discuss the full scope of customisation available.
