Standing at 135cm, the Inside Appears Outside Bear Sculpture makes an unapologetic statement in any room. Cast in resin and layered with oil paint, each stroke is expertly hand-crafted by Jirayu Tantrakul himself in Thailand, each stroke reflecting memories from the artist’s past performances. The abstract camouflage is more than just decoration, every flame-like line, smiling curve, and dripped swirl is pulled from film and theatre scripts that shaped Tantrakul’s creative journey. These visual fragments are remixed into a bear form with a commanding presence, full of tension, character, and flow.

The colour palette leans into deep greens, muted golds, orange-rust tones, chalky beige, black, pink, and chartreuse. While seemingly chaotic at first glance, the elements settle into rhythm: a number “21” on the leg, oversized black paws, and even the ears become a canvas for storytelling.
