The pattern is set where it falls, so no two figures in this colourway carry the same drift. Keeping the ink to the skirt and the body lets the folds at the foot read busy while the thrown-back crown stays clean and glassy. The whole figure is polished, which keeps the clear resin bright around the colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSet it on a console, a sideboard or a plinth in a hallway, against a plain pale wall so the ink can be read. Busy wallpaper behind it tangles with the threads. Side light from a window separates the yellow from the brown, and a lamp on the other side keeps the crown bright.
