The panel is worked from the front only and finished by hand, which means the register of the grid varies very slightly from piece to piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt three metres square this is an architectural fitting rather than a picture, and it needs a structural fixing into masonry. It suits a large hall, a gallery landing or a reception space. Allow twelve weeks for a full grid at this scale, which stands 300cm. The number of rows follows the dimensions you specify, and we set that out with you first. The recesses can be left matte to hold shadow or polished to lift them. Three and a half tonnes fixes back to masonry on a concealed steel frame, never to plasterboard.
