Most water in this range is falling or breaking; this one is rising, which means every surface on it runs the other way and the eye is carried up rather than down. Modelled water needs the material to hold a surface that is broken everywhere and never flat, and a cast body is the only way to keep it clear at the same time. A pale ground behind. The tip is clear and will vanish against anything dark. Light from behind runs up through the plume and makes the tip the brightest part of it. The plume is drawn out longer or cut back, the teal is taken higher up the body, and a block is supplied under the foot. Carry the teal further up and the tip stops being the end of the movement, which changes what the piece is about.
