The frost softens every surface, so the grey reads as smooth and velvety rather than hard, darker in the hollow where the back meets the seat and lighter across the rounded top. The legs are plain cylinders with flat feet, two under the front of the cushion and the third centred at the back, so the chair rests on three points. No screws, rails or fixings show anywhere on it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIts 58cm height suits a child at a play table, or an adult who wants a perch close to the floor. The slate grey is calm enough for a bedroom or a reading corner and goes well with pale timber, chalky walls and wool rugs. Two or three gathered round a low table make a small seating group for a playroom. It arrives in one piece, needing no assembly, and travels in a crate of its own that one person can manage.
