The orange deepens toward red where the resin gathers at the rims and lightens to a warm tangerine across the open faces. The slim orange stem meets a black stone block, which forms part of the order.

Tangerine Glow Inside a Deeper Orange

Orange is the colour that changes most with thickness, so the cut is what paints it. The thin faces inside the two hollows read almost yellow, the walls and rims heavy enough to reach a deep red-orange, and the stem, the thickest part of all, is the darkest. Every surface is polished, the inside of each scoop included, so the glow is even and no tool mark breaks the colour. Seen against the light, the whole ball seems to burn from the middle outward.

Rising to 46cm on its stone, it fits a bookcase shelf, a low table or a sideboard where it can be enjoyed at close quarters. Orange is a warm, cheerful colour for a north-facing room, and it lights up whenever the sun reaches it. Against blue, grey or green walls the contrast is at its strongest, and in a white room it becomes the focus.

Orange Strength, the Scoops and the Case

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Amber and red versions of the orange are offered, and the scoops can be cut deeper so more of the ball is open to the light. A deeper block lifts it further, and a stone in a paler colour suits a dark sideboard or a walnut shelf. Packed in one padded carton with the marble separate, it can be unpacked by one person and lifted with both hands round its outer curve. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two scoops winding round a dividing wall belong with our organic sculptures; bright orange resin glowing at its thinnest leads to our resin sculptures, and an orange glow for a north-facing room joins our indoor sculptures.

Specification

Height

40cm

Width

35cm

Depth

38cm

Base

25 x 20 x 6cm

Material

Cast Orange Resin on Black Marble
