A marble base is included.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eTwo Cut Ends Above a Stepped Ring\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA ring with a gap in it lives or dies by how its ends are handled. Here each end is sliced through at an angle, one climbing to a sharp point and the other finishing in a sloping face, so the opening reads as a deliberate cut through a solid ring rather than two arms that happen to stop. Inside, the second band sits back from the outer one, and the step between them follows the curve the whole way round. The colour moves across the form rather than round it, amber on one side and pale cream on the other, deepening to russet where the ring meets its base. Frosting the whole surface is what lets that be seen: a polish would return the room and hide the grade.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStanding 42cm on its base, the open ring is easily housed on a desk, a console or a sideboard, turned face-on to the room so the opening reads; seen edge-on, the ring closes into a single thick slab. Frosted work takes light from any direction, which makes this an easy piece to place, though a raking source shows the grade best. A pale wall behind it keeps the amber and the cream distinct from one another.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eThe Frost, the Amber, and Delivery\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eDelivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The amber can be lifted towards rose, the frost polished off the inner band, and the cut ends angled more steeply or squared off. The ring is run at other heights, with the base cut to whatever it is set at. Any other tint can be cast into the ring instead, and the frost holds it in the same soft register. Polishing the inner band alone turns the opening into the brightest part of the object. One box takes it, the ring bedded on its side with the base wrapped beside it.
