Its curve stops short of closing, and the two ends carry a rough, frosted amber crust that looks like crystallised honey against the polished colour. It is raised on a block of black marble that is sent out with it.

Orange Amber With Honeyed Ends

Amber resin seems to glow from within, and a ring this size gives that glow plenty of room: the colour runs from a warm tangerine at the thin edges to a deep red-orange in the body of the curve. The two ends are frosted and textured in the same amber, so the colour is continuous while the surface changes from glass to crystal. A mirror polish on the curve lets it reflect the room as well as glow, which doubles the warmth it brings to a space.

At 60cm it is sized for the top of a wide bookcase or a long sideboard, turned square to the room. Orange amber brings warmth to a white, grey or green interior, and it glows brightest with the sun behind it. In a dark-panelled room it reads like a lamp even when no light falls on it at all.

Amber Glow, Frosted Ends and Delivery

Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. The amber can be taken toward a deep cognac or lightened to yellow, and the ends finished in gold leaf rather than frosted amber. The distance between the ends is decided at order. Its fitted crate carries it flat, the space between the ends packed firm and the stone wrapped separately, and two people should carry it from the crate to its place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A ring whose curve stops short belongs with our organic sculptures; orange amber resin that glows from within leads to our resin sculptures, and a warm piece for a dark-panelled room joins our indoor sculptures.

Specification

Height

54cm

Width

53cm

Depth

12cm

Base

25 x 20 x 6cm

Material

Orange Amber Cast Resin with Frosted Amber Ends on Black Marble
