Amber also edges the rim of the shell, framing the lilac with a thin warm line. Below it stands a chrome pillar on a wide circular base, with a footrest partway down and a gas-lift lever to one side.

Lilac Framed in a Thin Amber Edge

Lilac and amber sit on opposite sides of the colour wheel, and this shell uses that contrast quietly. The lilac is muted, nearer lavender grey than violet, so it reads softly against a wall, while the amber is clear and glowing, like honey held to the light. Where the rim shows the thickness of the resin, the thin amber outline makes the back look framed. From behind, which is how most bar stools are seen, the shell shows as a soft lilac panel set in a warm frame.

At 100cm it meets an island worktop or a bar at a natural height, and its lilac and amber suit pale pink, dove grey and white rooms as well as brass and pale marble. It brings colour without shouting, which makes it a good choice for an open-plan space where the stools are seen from the sitting area. Indoor use only.

Tuning the Lilac and Amber, and Delivery

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The lilac can be cast clearer and brighter or greyer and softer, and the amber band can be widened, narrowed or exchanged for a tint of your choice. The metalwork is polished chrome unless you prefer black or brushed stainless, and the footrest can be omitted. Gas lifts are offered for counter and bar heights. It is delivered in one crate, already assembled, and can be carried in by one person. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Soft lilac over amber gives this stool a home in our resin sculptures; look to our metal sculptures for the chrome, and to our art furniture for more pieces to sit on.

Specification

Height

100cm

Width

38cm

Depth

50cm

Material

Cast Resin with Polished Chrome Base
