It is therefore cut from a template struck on both faces and worked from the centre line outward. The engraving above is blacked into the sawn face, and the vase beside it is turned rather than carved.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA heart tablet reads from directly in front, so it suits a children section, a lawn plot or a cremation plot where it can be approached square on. The engraved cross sits at the top and the broad half beneath it is left clear, which is where a name goes.
