The highest summit rises at the left, a second stands halfway along, and the ridge falls away to the right in a run of minor peaks. It has no base; the green foot sits straight on the surface.

Deep Green Under Clear Peaks

Green rising from the foot reads as forest climbing a mountainside, stopping where the slopes turn to bare rock. On this ridge the colour is deep and glassy at the bottom, climbs furthest up the gullies, and gives way to clear resin across the upper slopes, so the peaks stand pale above a dark green band. The highest summit sits at the left and the ridge runs down from it in a long line, with a polished gleam on each fold above the green foot.

Green suits rooms with timber, stone or plants, and a long console, a sideboard or a credenza near a window gives it daylight from the side, which deepens the colour in the gullies. A pale wall behind keeps the clear peaks legible. It needs its full length on the surface and a little space at each end.

The Green, the Clear and Delivery

Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The green can rise further towards the summits or settle near the foot, a blue, a teal or an amber can replace it, and another length of ridge is possible. Frosting the faces gives the green a mossy, matt depth in place of the polish. A flat crate the length of the ridge carries it, foam round the highest peak, and two people share the lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A ridge of deep green climbing into clear peaks belongs with our organic sculptures; green running up the gullies places it in our resin sculptures, and colour deepened by side daylight beside plants suits our indoor sculptures.

Specification

Height

48cm

Width

110cm

Depth

18cm

Material

Green Graded Clear Cast Resin
