The top block and the foot are clear, with a touch of green at their edges, and fine bubbles hang all through the resin. The one change of direction in the stack comes at the green block. It stands on its lowest block and needs nothing else.

A Green Block Turned Across Clear

Green between two clear blocks gives this small stack a bright, fresh heart. Where the green block crosses the clear ones, the overlap turns a deeper green, so the single turn in the stack is drawn in colour. The bubbles stay in the resin on purpose, and they sparkle like soda water in the light. Each face is polished, and the joins between the blocks are kept sharp. It is small enough for a crowded shelf, and bright enough to be noticed on one.

A windowsill, a shelf or a desk, somewhere it will be seen close to. It suits kitchens, garden rooms and white studies, and sits happily beside plants and glass. Daylight from behind lights up the green and the bubbles; a downlight makes it look flatter. In the evening a lamp nearby sets the bubbles glittering.

Another Green, More Bubbles, and Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. The green can be deepened to emerald or lightened to lime, the bubbles can be made denser or fewer, and the middle block can be turned further. The same stack is made in orange, sold separately. A small crate brings it, and it lifts out easily by the bottom block to be set straight down. The piece can also be made at a different height to suit a particular shelf. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Bright green turned across clear, bubbled resin is a fresh accent among our resin sculptures; small stacked forms like this suit our contemporary and modern sculptures, and more to keep close at hand is in our indoor sculptures.

Specification

Height

35cm

Width

23cm

Depth

22cm

Material

Cast Green and Clear Resin
