A black marble block is included beneath it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eA Climb Counted in Turns\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA spiral is counted by its turns, and the count is what the drawing has to control: too few and the ribbon reads as a bend, too many and it reads as a thread. Three turns is what this height will take: a fourth would crowd them and a second would read as a bend rather than a climb. One green through a body that lets go of it as the spiral rises is the whole of this: the resin is the same thickness at the trumpet as at the foot, and only the colour says otherwise. Polished inside and out along the whole spiral, the trumpet rim left thin.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA desk or a narrow shelf will take it. It reads best a little below the eye. A dark ground behind it, or the pale crown simply stops where the wall starts. One source from above finds the trumpet; anything from below lights the stone and little else. Say the word and the turns are counted differently, the green is exchanged, or the trumpet is opened wider. Add a turn and the ribbon thins with it, because the spiral has the same height to climb however many passes it makes. The count of turns is fixed at the drawing. A small crate, and it is out of it in a moment. One person can carry it, with a hand under the block.
