The cobalt along the seat edge is a firm, saturated line between the pale back above and the legs below. The legs keep a quieter blue, and the ringed bands near each foot give the only texture on an otherwise smooth surface. Back, seat and legs meet without a visible join, and every edge is rounded.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStanding 72cm, it is a dining chair in the full sense, comfortable at a table, a desk or a dressing table. The misty blue is gentle enough for a bedroom or a study and smart in a dining room with white or grey walls. In strong daylight the frost glows softly instead of sparkling, which keeps the chair restful. The ring-turning can be kept at the foot, extended up the leg, or left off. Chairs ordered together are cast in one session so their blues agree. Each travels in its own crate, needs no assembly, and one person can move it.
