The cone is a solid mass and at that volume the resin is no longer truly colourless: a soft grey drift sits through the middle of it, densest along the longest sightlines and clearing towards the outer faces, so the base carries a weight the eye can see. The top does the reverse. It is thin, even, and clear right across, with a low turned wall and a set of fine concentric rings in the centre that read as texture rather than as reflection. The grey drift in the cone is matched only when the pieces are made as one order. In transit the wide dished rim is boxed away from the sides; four people to set it down.
