The principal summit rises left of centre, a second peak stands near the middle, and a string of lesser peaks runs out to the right before the ridge thins away. It has no base and rests on its own foot.

Clear from the Foot to Every Peak

Without colour inside it, the range is read entirely by its outline and by the light on its faces. Each peak is drawn with its own height, the two principal summits set well apart, and the long string of lesser peaks beyond them keeps the ridge moving to the right. Polishing every face gives the clear material its edges: a bright line runs down each ridge and a shadow lies in each fold, so the shape stays legible from across a room even with nothing in the material.

A clear range takes on its surroundings, so a dark or richly coloured wall behind it does the most for it, lighting up every edge. A long console or a sideboard in a hall or a room that is walked through suits it, and a lamp at one side brings the folds forward. Keep it clear of busy patterns behind it.

Plain or Coloured, and Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. A brown, green or grey core can be set inside the peaks, or the range can take an overall tint; flakes of gold are another option. Other lengths of ridge are cast to order, and the faces can be frosted where a soft, icy surface suits the room better than polish. It travels in a long crate shaped to the ridge, every peak wrapped, and two people set it down in place rather than sliding it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear range with nothing inside it belongs with our organic sculptures; water-white peaks set well apart put it in our resin sculptures, and edges lit against a rich wall suit our indoor sculptures.

Specification

Height

29cm

Width

97cm

Depth

20cm

Material

Clear Cast Resin
