It is colourless from end to end.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eSoft Summits With Shadow Held Inside Them\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA small range has to be read at a glance, so the peaks are kept few, rounded and clearly separated, each with its own height. The hollows inside some of them are what give the clear body its depth: they catch whatever lies behind the piece and turn it into shadow, so the range seems to have caves and folds within it. The surfaces are left smooth, which keeps the piece calm where a sharper range would be busy, and the foot is cut flat so that it sits low and steady.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA desk, a shelf or a low console suits it, where it can be looked at from close by and slightly above. A dark background brings out the hollows; a pale one keeps the range light. Low side light shades each peak. At a distance it reads as a single low ridge, and the hollows within it appear as you come close.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eTint, Peaks and a Small Parcel\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhere the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. You can decide three things. The peaks can be drawn higher or kept low, the range can be made longer with more summits, and the piece is also made with amber rising through the peaks from a clear foot. Lengthen the range and the peaks are spaced to keep the rise and fall even. It ships in a small crate and one person can place it.
