The table has a top of clear acrylic with rounded ends, its surface rippled like moving water and set near each end with a dark round inset, and at one end the top runs out over a section of bronze-toned stainless steel, a rounded slab of its own on two broad cylindrical legs, while along the rest of its length it stands on clear acrylic legs. Each of the six chairs is a single band of clear acrylic curving round from one arm to the other to form its back, set on clear side panels, with a white cushion in the seat.

Rippled Clear Acrylic Over Bronze-Toned Steel

Bringing clear acrylic and a coloured steel together puts two very different finishes side by side, so each is taken to its own limit: the steel to an even bronze tone with no streak in it, the acrylic to a ripple that holds its scale along the full length of the top. The two dark insets give that long top two fixed points, and the clear legs are polished so that, seen through the top, they read as soft columns of light rather than as hard lines. The chairs carry the same clarity into the seating: each band holds one steady curve from arm to arm, so the light runs along it without a break, and the white cushions are the one soft note in the set.

With its six chairs drawn up, a table this long belongs in a large dining room or a long kitchen, in a scheme bold enough to set warm metal against cold, clear acrylic. Light from above sets the ripple moving across the top, and the dark insets give it two still points. A plain floor shows the clear legs, and a rug under the steel end keeps the two halves distinct. Because the chairs are clear as well, the set keeps the room open even with every seat in place.

Top Length, the Chairs and Delivery in Sections

Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Length and width of the table are both cut to order, with the insets moved, left out or set in another colour, and the steel section is offered in other finishes. The price covers the table and all six chairs; the set can be made up with more chairs or with none, and the cushions come in a fabric or a leather of your choosing. The top, the steel section and the clear legs travel separately and are assembled on site, and the top wants four people. Each chair comes as three parts, its band and two side panels, joined on arrival, with the cushion packed apart.
