Solid resin at this span and this depth would weigh more than any two people should lift and more than most domestic floors are asked to carry, so the wall thickness is not a detail of the making - it sets the largest size the form can be built at. Everything else follows from it: the span of the summits, the depth of the ground between them and how much of the piece can overhang its own foot.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA run this long needs a long surface or a floor, and the floor is the better of the two: on a sideboard it arrives at the eye and blocks the wall behind it. In a bay, along a hearth or at the foot of a stair it reads as landscape rather than as furniture. It is sent in one long crate bedded under the whole body with the open underside supported, and three people move it.
