Against a pale wall the specks read as points of warmth in clear water; above the black marble they turn brighter. Every finger finishes round rather than sharp, and the hole through the spire lets the eye pass straight through to the wall behind, so the splash reads as one burst thrown out from its foot.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStanding 106cm with its block, it wants open floor in a hallway or beside a broad stair, where the head of the spire stops just short of a standing adult's chest and the arms have room to spread. Lift it by the cupped foot with a hand on each side, never by the spire or an arm, and place it on its block turned so the spire leans away from where people pass.
