Each shelf is let into the frame across its full thickness rather than butted to the face, so the load is spread and the joint reads as a continuation of the frame instead of an addition to it. On a colourless body the housing is visible from both sides, which is why it is cut to a tight fit and polished before bonding. Shelf count is open, from two to five, and they can be cantilevered from alternate sides for a staggered arrangement. Shelf depth can be increased where more is to stand on them. Frame height and the facet pattern are both set at order, and the acrylic is offered tinted. It arrives assembled, since the housings are cut and bonded together, and it is an easy one-person carry. It travels boxed on all faces, the cantilevered shelf ends being the parts that catch in transit.
