clear-brown-leaf-tilted-cube-rock-resin-sculpture-21cm
Clear Brown Leaf Tilted Cube Rock Resin Sculpture - 21cm

Description

A glassy block tipped onto its corner crowns this clear resin rock at the top left, like a cube of ice caught mid-tumble, and beneath it the body gathers into squared, sugar-textured blocks, one jutting out to the left and another rising as a squared column on the right. Small dried leaves in warm brown are held through the resin: slim, pointed leaves with fine veins and short stalks, one curling at its tip, a few crumpled together on the left, and a small pod on a thread-like stalk. At 21cm the rock suits a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a desk.

Stalked Leaves Under a Toppled Cube

The tipped cube is polished smooth on every face so the leaves inside it can be seen whole, while the blocks beneath it carry a crisp, granular finish that sparkles; both are imported clear resin, finished by hand. The leaves are slender and pointed, with veins running along them and their stalks still attached, and their brown warms to an amber tint where a face turns towards you. Several hang in the clear cube itself, others sit further down on the right, and the crumpled cluster stays close to the left edge. The tilt of the cube and the scatter of leaves change from rock to rock.

On a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a writing desk it sits easily among books and ceramics, and its tilted top lends a sense of movement beside upright objects. Daylight from one side turns the brown leaves amber and brightens the glassy cube, while a dark wall keeps the outline crisp. Indoor use only.

Leaf Choice, the Cube and Delivery

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. One rock comes with each order. On commission the leaves can fill the whole rock or be kept to a sparse few, dried flowers or metal leaf can take their place, or the resin can be left empty, and the cube at the top can be set level rather than tipped. Further sizes are available. It is sent in a snug box lined with foam, and the right hold when unpacking it is beneath the squared blocks, not on the tipped cube. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A toppled cube of clear resin over slim brown leaves on their stalks is collected with our resin sculptures, our abstract sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Specification

Height

21cm

Width

17.5cm

Depth

13cm

Material

Imported Clear Resin with Dried Leaf Inclusions
