The body leaves a splayed foot, turns hard over at the top and opens out there, with a fin-like plane swung sideways at roughly mid height. The body is clear resin with a milky white core clouding through it from foot to flare, so the outline stays glassy while the middle reads soft. The black marble block is included, and the splayed foot covers most of the top of it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eA Milky Core Inside Clear Resin\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eOne design at four heights is four different objects, and at this height the white core is broad enough to read across a room while the piece is still small enough to sit on a table. Kept to this height, it is still a piece for a broad surface rather than for the floor. The clear skin is what the white is read through, and an unevenly clouded core would look soiled rather than intended. Polished over every face, which keeps the white reading as depth inside the resin instead of as a coating on it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA sideboard, a hall table or any broad surface above waist height. A plain pale ground. The milky core is quiet on its own and a patterned wall behind it would swamp it. Side light shows the clear skin around the white; light straight on flattens the two together. The outline carries across a room; the soft core has to be come close to.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eA Denser Core, and Delivery\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eOrder a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. The white core is drawn denser or thinner, a tint is run through the clear, and white stone replaces the block. Draw the core denser and the outline grows softer, because the clear skin around it is what keeps the edge sharp. A second version is made in black and clear with the white left out of it entirely, and two others besides. One crate holds both. Put the stone where it is staying, then lift the casting onto it. One person, taken around the standing body and not by the flare.
