The flakes are spaced rather than scattered, and the difference matters: a scatter reads as a finish applied to the material, while a spacing reads as something held inside it, and the second is far harder to achieve. Gold flakes held in a clear body catch light the material itself does not, so the piece has bright points at depths the surface cannot account for.
