The relief roundel is carved in white marble and set into the tablet face, and the contrast between the mirror-polished granite and the matte marble is what makes the carving legible. Lettering is cut by hand to order.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA family memorial at full monument scale, for a cemetery plot or a private memorial garden. It needs a prepared concrete foundation. Granite is the most durable memorial stone available and holds cut lettering sharply for generations.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eLettering, Foundation and Assembly on Site\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eNames, dates and a verse are cut into the granite tablet, and the marble roundel can be swapped for another subject or left plain. Expect ten weeks: the columns, pediment and tablet are cut separately and assembled on site. Assembled it stands 300cm, and we will price it to whatever dimensions the plot allows. At over twelve tonnes this needs a prepared reinforced foundation and a crane, and most cemeteries require sight of the drawings first.
