The dish above is spun to an even wall and its rim rolled over while the material is still workable, which is what gives the edge its thickness without a seam. The collar between dish and base is left plain, and it is the only unworked surface on the piece. The three feet are ground to one plane, since a base this narrow shows any error at the rim.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt stands next to a low seat or at the end of a sofa. The dish is deep enough to hold small things without them rolling off, which a flat top of this size would not. Most of it is the trefoil base. Three choices are open. The tint is open, the dish can be run shallower, and the cluster can be made with four cylinders rather than three. Dish diameter and cylinder reach are quoted to whatever you need. Ask for several together if the roll of the rim needs to agree between them. The rolled rim and the three cylinders go in wrapped apart, and the crate is packed so the dish bears on the base and not on its rim.
