Through the thin crown it is a clear, bright blue that lets the wall behind tint it further; at the two sides, where the band turns and the resin is seen in depth, it closes to a dense cobalt with an almost violet edge. The gloss lays long bright streaks along its upper edge. The frame below is matt and even, and against it the blue band reads as a separate object floating over the seat.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 75cm to its crown the chair sits at the right height for an ordinary dining table, and it works as well at a desk. Blue backs look their best around a white or pale grey table, or against a wall painted a softer blue, and a set along both sides turns a plain table into a colour statement. Because the mould exists already, nothing has to be made first. You choose the back colour when ordering, from this blue, a red, an amber, a white or a clear, and the frame can stay black or follow the back. Seat and overall heights are adjusted to your figures if required, and a run of chairs is cast at one time to keep the blue consistent. Each one is crated singly, comes complete, and is a one-person lift.
