The hollow of the foot faces forward, and the ribbon turns once on its way up. Aqua fills the hollow and the base of the twist with a strong sea colour and thins to glassy clear at the top. The small black marble block beneath is included.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eA Shell of Sea Colour at the Foot\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe shell-like foot holds most of the resin, so it holds most of the colour too: a rich aqua pooled like water in a rock pool, from which a slim twist climbs and pales as it goes. That grading makes the piece look weightless at the top and grounded at the bottom. The turn in the ribbon catches the light along its edge, and every face is polished bright, the inside of the hollow as well as the outside, so the sea colour stays clean wherever it is seen from.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStand it on a dresser, a desk or a bathroom shelf, or somewhere in a bright hallway, with room above for the tip. It suits white, blue and sand-coloured rooms and sits happily beside shells, pale wood and glass. Daylight at one side makes the hollow glow like shallow water, and even on a dull day the aqua keeps its freshness.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eTurquoise, Sky Blue, or Frosted, and the Crate\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eReckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Turquoise or sky blue can take the place of the aqua, or the whole piece can be given a frosted, softer finish, and the twist can be given a tighter turn. A pale stone block is an alternative to the black. The twist is also made in amber, in blue and clear, and in a frosted blue-grey, each sold on its own. It comes in a small crate, and one pair of hands lifts it out by the stone, keeping clear of the tip.
